Great… and Greater

jobs-2013-11539

Saw Jobs (the movie) finally. This thing is a good source of inspiration for creatives. One of the monologue’s that I still remember is the one that Matthew Modine said (portraying John Sculley in the screencap above):

You can make a great product, but you have to convince people that what you’re selling is greater.

This doesn’t only deal with material products per se, but ourselves.

fun.‘s “Carry On”, and “Before Shane Went to Bangkok…”

Cause here we are
We are shining stars
We are invincible
We are who we are
On our darkest day
When we’re miles away
Sun will come
We will find our way home

If you’re lost and alone
Or you’re sinking like a stone.
Carry on.
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground.
Carry on.

Underrated song from fun’s album I’d say. It’s dope. This could be an alternate New Year’s song, versus the ole’ “Auld Lang Syne”. What you think?

Anyways, if you haven’t yet, be sure to cop their free live EP “Before Shane Went to Bangkok…”

Of Hamsters, and Blake Griffin?

It’s not news to most that KIA has been producing awesome car commercials for the past couple of years now. They have been boosting up their marketing dollars with creativity and humor; and they have the increase in sale numbers to prove it. Whether the star of the show are characters from Yo Gabba Gabba, hamsters, or a basketball star on the rise—Blake Griffin.
