I grew up in Los Angeles. Graduated from University of California, Irvine w/ a BS in Computer Engineering. Have lived, and worked with startups in the Orange County Area since 2002, and in SF/Bay Area since 2005.
I am currently abroad, and am open to telecommute opportunities either permanent/temp, contract, and/or on a per-project-basis. My current home base is: Manila, Philippines (UTC/GMT +8 hours).

This blog, Just a Memo, is where I mostly write about: Design, Photography, Technology, Music/Entertainment, Humor, and people that do Good. All of which I think are 6°-apart or less, and some of the reasons why I love to Travel.
Thanks for visiting and sharing some time reading my thoughts on the above, and those in between. In the middle of writing this page’s copy, I just had to include something from Anthony Bourdain but did not know where to place it properly. I guess this is as good as any =)
I write. I travel. I eat. And I’m hungry for more.
Meanwhile, I hope you keep an open mind and learn something new. ((My posts/opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of my employer.)) In it’s infancy, this blog wasn’t called what it is now. I recall starting out with Blogger just as a form to write notes down for class back in college/university days. It then evolved to a collection of thoughts, as well as things I found interesting. With the increase need of customization, I migrated from Blogger to Movable Type—when it was at its hay-day.
Years later, it found its home powered by WordPress. Just a Memo is powered by Reverie Framework, and is still being tweaked by me. I made the switch to this framework in December of 2011 to support HTML5/CSS3 and the “responsive” web design ideology. Before it, it was running on a Blueprint CSS theme.
It uses a good set of plugins. Most of the media are stored within, or have been embedded from popular media repositories: Flickr, Youtube, Vimeo, etc. Type is provided via Typekit; which utilizes these fonts:
- Lobster by Pablo Impallari, for the site’s title. And,
- Droid Serif by Google Android, for most of the content, headers, and navigation.
