Just got a word from Cice­ly that Redon­do Beach is host­ing their Annu­al Lob­ster Fes­ti­val this week­end. Damn, too bad I can’t have a copy of myself go there. As L‑boogie would say:

Any­ways, for those going, make sure to eat a small break­fast to expand your stom­achs. So you can get as much lob­ster as pos­si­ble dur­ing the fest. Damn, mmm mmm mmm—lobster!

Yum! Its on this week­end… Screw eat­ing right. This only hap­pens once a year, so you bet­ter take advan­tage.

The 10th Annu­al Ghi­rardel­li Square Choco­late Fes­ti­val, ben­e­fit­ing Project Open Hand, will take place Sat­ur­day and Sun­day, Sep­tem­ber 10 and 11, 2005, from 12:00 noon — 5:00 pm. The Choco­late Fes­ti­val hosts more than 20 booths each day fea­tur­ing a vari­ety of choco­late del­i­ca­cies from some of the best Bay Area restau­rants and bak­eries. Activ­i­ties for the entire fam­i­ly will take place for your enjoy­ment through­out both days includ­ing chef demon­stra­tions, children’s Chocoland and live music.

For over 20 years, Project Open Hand had pro­vid­ed meals and bags of gro­ceries to men, women and chil­dren liv­ing with symp­to­matic HIV and AIDS. Project Open Hand expand­ed their ser­vices to pro­vide dai­ly con­gre­gate lunch­es to seniors and pro­vide meals to peo­ple who are home­bound and crit­i­cal­ly ill. This is a free & pub­lic event — except for choco­late tast­ing. Indi­vid­ual tick­ets are $8, 2 tick­ets are $14 and 3 tick­ets are $20. Each tick­et will give you 5 choco­late sam­ples from any of the par­tic­i­pat­ing ven­dors.
