Where Did That Alberta, Canada Meteor Go?

Here’s a video from a 5–0’s dash that recorded a “tractor truck” size meteor:

Brian Williams: “The search is on in Canada for the impact site?”

What the?!?! They better find that thing. That thing was huge—that’s what she said! For something that bright and in plain sight of the cop patrolling, they should know at least where to start. Dang… that’s scary if they don’t find it. You think it’s a coincidence with all these Armageddon-like movies coming out?

Update
The video from Hulu is no longer available. I have updated the post with the one from Youtube.

Black Friday Deals on Wear

Here’s a handful of casual/street wear/urban culture attire vendors having Black Friday deals. Most of them are based in California. But some have their sale event extending online as well.

Resize to a Specific Element’s Dimensions

Here’s a snippet to resize a background image to the dimensions of an element. In this case, #bkgImage.

var resizeBkg = function() {
    var h = self.innerHeight || document.documentElement.clientHeight || document.body.clientHeight;
    var w = self.innerWidth || document.documentElement.clientWidth || document.body.clientWidth;
    var e = document.getElementById('bkgImage');
    if (w > h) {
        e.width = w;
        e.height = w;
    } else {
        e.height = h;
        e.width = h;
    }
}

A Longer Walk on Google Maps

It was cool to find out that Apple released an update to iPhone 2.2 today. After going through the process, I couldn’t wait to try out the new features—specially the ones involving Google Maps. They were: Street View, and public transit & walking directions.

Things were fine when all of a sudden… a “things that make you go, hmmm” moment. Check out the walking direction that I was given 2‑blocks away from the Transbay Terminal.

Right?! I know. This deserves to be in Seth & Amy’s Really!?! skit during SNL’s Weekend Update.

SNL: Justin Timberlake for Beyonce’s Single Ladies Music Video

Oh man… this had me going—freaking hilarious. I think Justin Timberlake was going to host this upcoming Saturday or something but can’t anymore due to the Holidays. So he popped in and did Weekend Update and a skit with Beyonce. Just in case you missed it this past Saturday’s SNL, here it is1.
