Philippines’ Globe Mobile Network Promos

Bare necessities. If you are ever in Manila/PHL and looking to get a Prepaid mobile line for emergency and/or to just communicate around the islands, this might get you on the right track.

I did some research with Globe and their “GoSakto” make-your-own combos; ~P500/month for some calls and unlimited texting ain’t bad (P300 only if 1,000 of text). I’ll be able to afford more cronuts now!

PS. You may test more combos over here.

Seems there’s a better promo if you are looking to spend about P500, GoUnli500. The promo bundle includes the following:

  • Viber, FBMsg, Kakaotalk,WhatsApp, WeChat, Line
  • Text to All networks
  • Calls to Globe and TM
  • Free Facebook up to 10MB
  • Chat
  • Validity: 30 days

Get On… Pagudpud

A day in the region of Pagudpud. Ilocos Norte, Philippines. This place usually has awesome weather but we happen to just catch a storm. Oh well, it wasn’t too bad heading out and doing some hikes and exploration by flip-flop. We went to only visit the North-side as we needed to get back down to Laoag later on that day. (Feb 2013)

All shot on the GoPro HERO2 HD. Edited on FCP X. My first time using it; sucks that you can’t trim the rejected partial-clips like in iMovie ’11. I might have to do the trimming beforehand, as unwanted file-space is adding up.

Feet First

This is where it all began. Brighton beach, England.

Feet First” travel photography by Tom Robinson:

While sitting on Brighton beach (UK) back in 2005 with my new girlfriend Verity I thought the view of our feet pointing out to sea would make a nice photo. Ever since then we’ve continued to document our travels in this way, resulting in a collection of over 100 photos. In 2011 the series took a new twist with the arrival of a third set of feet – our daughter Matilda. You can already see her little feet getting bigger and bigger.

Ica Peru Dune Buggy & Sandboarding

In our short time in Lima, we were fortunate enough to book an adventure 1.5–2 hours away in the area of Ica. We headed east to a small oasis town of Lake Huacachina. There, we did this ^^
