I haven’t traveled from London to Paris straight, but did oversleep and miss a tour coach along with my roommate this past March (too much exploring/partying I guess, and lack of sleep). We hopped on the Eurostar bullet train to try and catch the rest of the Contiki group at the London Pub, but were 10-minutes late and had to catch the next one =\
AllOrNothingproductions.com present ‘London to Paris’, directed by Grace Ladoja, documents 10 riders from all over the world making the track bike journey from London to Paris to meet Lance Armstrong as the Tour De France 2009 comes to a close. Made in association with Nike Sportswear’s CTRS project, the film’s NYC premiere is set for late October 2009… stages09.com
I have been fortunate to find some nuggets lately this past week. From across the world, I stumbled upon The Very Best. It is a collaboration project between Esau Mwamwaya & Radioclit (Johan Karlberg & Etienne Tron).
The sessions are all about great music and the venue strips this to its essense. We aren’t picky about genre and will happily open the cab door to anyone who blows us away…
I heard about it through Tony Hawk’s tweet early this morning. They feature artists such as: Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, The Cool Kids, Lykke Li, and many more great musicians.
I was browsing Hulu trying to see what new shows they have added to their library—when I found this series, My Bare Lady.
Things heat up when four American adult film stars are sent to London’s most prestigious theatrical school to prove they can really act. When the curtain goes up, someone’s going down.
When you think you have seen it all, you are then surprised with “reality” shows like this one. Anyways, here’s the first episode of My Bare Lady[1].
Sweet. Two of my photos got selected to be shown at Photomonth 2008 in London.
photomonth 08 the east london photography festival is the largest photography festival in the UK with over 100 exhibitions and events taking place in more than 60 galleries and spaces and featuring up to 500 photographers. This year there is a photofair in Spitalfields Traders Market and the photo-open and the photomonth seminar are at the Dray Walk Gallery, Old Truman Brewery. Tom Hunter gives the photomonth lecture and the portfolio reviews take place at the Whitechapel. The photomonth workshops will be found at London Metropolitan University and shoot experience conduct a photographic treasure hunt around Spitalfields. photomonth 08 is also linking with Chobi Mela V in Dhaka Bangladesh.
This year, Photomonth has invited the Flickr community under the theme “freedom”. The end result was an open call to the Flickr community to enter their photos to the Freedom 2008 group.
Anyways, here are the ones that were selected:
Photos from the group will be on display at the Dray Walk Gallery (part of The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in London) between October 29th and November 9th[1]. Please do let me know if you happen to see them. Maybe even try to take a photo with it? haha. Awesome.
geekchix.org - Ivana Jurčić – Lilit » Blog Archive » A Collection of Printable Sketch Templates and Sketch Books for Wireframing6 hours ago At the beginning of a web (or application) development project I always create the sketches first. While sketching can be done on a blank paper, it’s much better to use a sketch template. For me that is the best and most productive way to work on and improve my ideas before application development begins (and things get more complicated :-)). This way I won’t pay too much attention to some details that should be taken care of later, but stay focused on general layout and functionality.
Below you will find more than 20 resources that you can use in sketching phase of application development. If you have some additional resources to share, please leave a comment so I can add them to the list.
And, of course, don’t forget to share your wireframes on I ♥ wireframes :-)
The One Who Got Away – Pictory2010/02/18 Think about the people missing from your life, and how you feel about them. What we remember — and what we forget — may reveal more about ourselves than about them. We have photos, letters, souvenirs, and fragments of memory, but our powerful imagination takes over from there: We color in the blanks. And that’s OK. Retouching old loves is a way of understanding what we want. It helps us find our way to new ones.
It’s impossible to know whether the experiences below are about infatuation, true love, lust, or something else entirely. But we can be sure that each of these contributors learned about life and themselves in the process.
